Early steps.
Married in 2020 in the year of the great pandemic, we had made plans to apply for our visa. As we weren't from the STEM industries, we had to find other alternatives to the land down under. Yes, we are trying to make our way toward Australia. The application was straightforward enough (we tried applying on our own but decided to err on the side of caution and go with an agency instead), we made the submission and they helped us see what were the available avenues to explore. Limited demand narrowed the available places in Australia for us. One of those options, was the Australian Capital Territory, Canberra, somewhere that did not really hit us quite at first, but we figured that since we're heading to a new place, the capital shouldn't hurt, I guess? Thus started our mental journey, as we prepare for the day when we will push away from these shores that we've been ever so familiar with.
